e_h 0 Posted July 24, 2002 Caught this pose as the bird was approaching some food. What do you think? Link to comment
s_ren_nielsen 0 Posted July 24, 2002 Very nice catch. Although most of the bidrd seems out of focus its face is sharp. And it's looking right at us! Great Link to comment
mg 0 Posted July 26, 2002 Nice catch indeed ! But imo, it needs a good crop... I doubt we need so much buildings in the frame. Regards. Link to comment
Stock-Photos 1 Posted July 29, 2002 Fantastic! The building in the background in the background dont not detract IMHO. I seems to indicate the bird is interacting with people. Most likely eyeing a morsel of food. Link to comment
floyder 0 Posted August 7, 2002 Amazing. I would not crop this image too tight, because it is important to leave some background as a hint to the environment the bird is in. Perhaps some of the lower part might be cropped and the buildings should be straightened too... Otherwise it is very good catch. Link to comment
jed 0 Posted August 10, 2002 One of the joys of photography is the joy of the moment! Wow! That special moment when only the body and that odd feather is in focus, that moment of suspended time that tells a story, communicates something special. The moment is brilliant! The background keeps it in context (this is an urban critter) but it also distracts from that MOMENT of communication. The building needs to be toned down - the eye tends to be captured by it and you can't make it disappear. I would make that third panel - the one that stands out and spoils it - tone down. It is a digital, and my experience of digital photography is that the exposure is rarely correct and so needs "darkroom" work in Photoshop, so go the whole hog and make the background serve the message. My apologies for the rave but I enjoyed your pic - TFS! Link to comment
