This is a beautiful photo, but I think that #3 is more pleasing.

Like the different version of a flower shot. Keep being creative to make these worthwhile.

I notice that you are using a very under-rated Canon L lens. It gives you a big bang for the buck. noce composition.

I know I have to upgrade my equipment, Donald. I cannot afford to do that at the moment, though. Right now I am trying to do my best and learn most with my current equipment. Thanks for your kind words.

Brad, I've just come back to this folder after I originally looked at it in August. I've spent the last month struggling to produce a decent flower shot and found how truly difficult it is. I think those on PN who don't appreciate floral photography think it's simple. It's the very fact that it is such an unoriginal subject that makes it so difficult. You've pulled off some stunning shots with a particular eye for effective dof and lighting. Keep posting.
