sweeney 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Great lighting. I think I would like to see it just a little sharper and maybe eliminate the ear, I think it pulls me away from the face. Link to comment
sumptee 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Mark, Thanks for the suggestion, I have re-uploaded the picture with the changes you suggested. Take a look and tell me what you think?? A little more sharp and the ear is gone! Jeremy Link to comment
nu-creation 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Jeremy,IMHO, it is just a tad Thanks for stopping by the port. I really like the idea of this photo, but I feel it just leaves me wanting more. As far as the lighting goes, it is just a bit harsh on her cheek yet it drops off very quickly towards her ear. The other is the implementation of the 2 thirds principle. IMHO, if you reduced the amount of space to the left and placed the face in the far left third, then extend out the right empty space a bit, you would get a more dramatic effect. Thanks for sharing and I would welcome your advice on my photos also. Luke Link to comment
sumptee 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Thanks for the comments and suggestions, With regards to your first point, IMHO (And I know it not much) I really don't think that the light on her cheek is harsh. It actually very true to what her skin color and tone looks like! And the dark on light is the effect that I was trying to aim for almost as if a person is looking in from the shadows. As as far as the principle of two thirds, thinks for the suggestion. I have attached below what it would look like with this suggestion implemented. Tell me what you think is better. Thanks again for the comments and suggestions, and I hope I not coming off as being a hot-head, because I not really that way! LOL Jeremy Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 26, 2007 This is an excellent portrait. With so little elements and yet there is a story. Link to comment
