sweeney 0 Posted December 12, 2007 This is a beautiful night shot. Very well balanced lighting, with the exception of the blown out part at the top of the older building. I would like to see more detail in that, which I suppose would be next to impossible without multiple blended exposures. The colors in the foreground are very nice as well. Overall a very well balanced shot of a beautiful city. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I've always loved this building in the foreground, and this is a very nice depiction of it. My only constructive criticism would be that it looks like it's leaning to the left a bit, which a rotation of a couple of degrees would fix. Otherwise, very nice. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted December 12, 2007 As it's been said already, the picture has strength of its own as a remarkable image with great composition and colors. Congratulations! Link to comment
erasmix 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Thank you all for your comments. This shot has a fair amount of luck. First of all, the cars not moving during the shot. Second been able to clone people crossing the street out of the shot. I also had a lot of trouble because, most shots were blurred like the tripod or the street vibrated. I suspect caused by the mirror slamming up. Some of the earlier shots where at 10 sec or less, so the top of the coppola building is not overexposed, but they are either blurred or cars are moving, or people are just to hardly imprinted to clone out easily. After this I started using Mirror Lockup ALWAYS. Nevertheless I had to pay the price in this shot. Link to comment
