We have Hummingbirds in our area, and I like to capture them with my lens! I had to adjust the exposure a little to see the colors of the bird.

I am experimenting with photographing wildlife. I had to adjust the

exposure to lighten up the picture a bit. It brought out the color

of the bird much better. Thank you for any constructive criticism!

Last week I challenged myself to photograph some Hummingbirds in an enclosure at the Desert Museum in Tucson Az. I went in with 2 Canon camera bodies and 4 lenses, I came out frustrated. I had no idea these little creatures where so quick and I didn?t know they hardly ever hold still. I felt like I was trying to photograph angry flies. Kudos to you and anyone with the patients and where with all to capture these mini-marvels under any circumstance. Yours are way better than mine.

I happen to have a lot of flora that attracts the skittish birds to my yard. I just spend a lot of time around the flowers so that the birds get used to me there, and they come a lot closer, sometimes sitting very near to me. I had one land in a raspberry bush about 6 inches in front of me and sit there for about 2 minutes. I just move very slowly to help keep from spooking them.
