paradoxgirl 0 Posted December 10, 2007 I love the tones and textures on this shot. Shadow work is great as well. My *only* suggestion would be...the subject seems..not quite out of focus, yet not quite in. I see the background dof is blurred a bit more..which I like there. Somehow this almost seems like an HDR overlay with the subject...was it? Jodie~* Link to comment
tgood 0 Posted December 10, 2007 No HDR or composite here. It was layered onto itself with BW then color version to try and give it an aged and timeless feel. I think the biggest problem you're describing is resolution. I failed the golden rule of cropping in the view finder and went too far in photoshop. I couldn't resist though. The spring in his step seemed lost in the far away composition. I was zoomed in all the way, just not standing close enough for the moment. Thanks for your time and feedback... very much appreciated.
