Honey Bee

Please let me know what you think of my little bee. I am just starting

out in this photography thing. I do not have the luxury of the

greatest equipment, but always like to have it close by in case a shot

appears. Thank you.

As i can see this photo wasn't manipulated by Photoshop. It's not a critique, but i don't like that the left wing and the right feeler are cut and there is a piece of dust near its left rear leg. But i like it. The bee looks cute, it's very fluffy

This is a very good macro my friend and I think you have done well. The focus is good, DOF is good and the capture is excellent. The soft and diffused lighting has given you a very good exposure without any glare and specular highlights.

I was in my yard hanging Christmas lights. I reached down, and there he was on one of my bulbs. I grabbed my camera out of my rig and took the shot. The sky was over cast and about three hours to setting. Since it was in November, he did not have much energy, so taking lots of shots was easy. But he did try many times to climb up to my lens. I do not own a macro for my Canon slr yet, does anyone have suggestions on macros? The dust does bother me also, as does the cropping of the wings and feeler. I did not modify the shot in anyway. I have seen better, but for me, I am happy with him.
