I love this pic! At first I was not sure about centering the subject, but after looking at it a bit, I realized it was the only way this picture worked. Great job.

I agree, I think it's better with a centered composition because otherwise it would be hard to equilibrate the picture.

This is a great occupational portrait. The colors of the drums work well with his faded coveralls and his skin tone. It looks like he's put in a lot of hard years. The only thing I think would be interesting is to see how it would look if the top white part were cropped out so that it is nothing but barrels and the ground. Very nice shot.
