Oh, how I love the blue color here and the fine blend with reflections of the spectators. For this once I'd like to suggest you to edit/clone stamp away some of the distracting reflections of the baby carriage and what is on the nose of the bear. I wonder if you have considered that?

Thank you very much for your suggestions Markku. They sound like very good ideas. Those are early postings from last year I had deleted. Now I regret I didn't keep the comments friends left on the pictures. Silly me. You're perfectly right I think about the big bubble of water on the bear's nose and the baby carriage. I'll have to work on that old picture again. Thanks,Markku!

What makes this image so terribly effective in my opinion are the people reflection and the bear attitude...together the sum is greater than the parts...the bear looks at the people that look at the bear...it is both burlesque and a bit tragic...you see that's why I believe in what you are doing Laurent...this image is unique...about taking care of the relfection as suggested by Markuu (he knows I respect the comment), be careful because the unique of the picture is the balance between the direct image and the reflection...changing it too much you will take the risk to destroy this balance...personaly I'd do nothing, it's superb like that...

This image resonated something but I did'nt figure what at first....now I know...I remember wachting a TV program about environment and Global Climate change where they talked about polar bear and shrinking ice surface on the poles making it difficult for bears to survive...in your image Laurent we are facing the bear and our responsability....

Thank you very much for your kind comments. Laurent, thanks for commenting again. I'm glad you liked it. This is one of my personal favourites, but a tough one to get right as far as post-processing was concerned.

I usually don't like titles that "interpret" but that won't change the strength of this photo. Its amazing and sad.

Thank you, John. Your kind comments and in-depth view of my portfolio are very much appreciated. I'm glad you liked those old posts (or reposts) and took the time to leave a few words. Thanks again.
