The shot is very good but the black/white version is not too my taste. I miss the colours of the skinsuits in this shot. Do you have it in colour somewhere?

About the b/w conversion.

You are right about the "colour" of the suit, but in this shot i was searching for a great contrast ( like the "contrast" between tha blade and the ice in that point of the track). I could have selected all the men and do a separate conversion for them. But i wont, because i tought i don't mind about colour of the suit because of the letter "KOR", "ITALIA", "USA", "CANADA", in hard white on black suit!.

 

So i know, maybe not all people like "this" b/w, but i think is one of the few way to find out what i was searching.

The black/white version indeed gives another perspective, my eyes are more drawn to the two last riders in the black/white version, in the colour version more to the upper riders. This crop works well for the black/white but less for the colour version.

Speedskating is a theme where it's hard to get everything right ;) Half the days I shoot speedskating I arrive home with only average pictures.
