lizweisiger 0 Posted December 8, 2007 I think you did a good job here capturing symmetry and contrasts with the delicate ice cycles and the stone fixtures. The tones are a little strong for me, but I enjoy looking at this. Can you give us an idea of the scale here - are we looking at something really huge (I've never seen a dam this close). If so, then those ice cycles are gigantic. Link to comment
scooter0071 0 Posted December 8, 2007 Liz, Thank you for your comments. I would estimate the gate door is 18-20 feet tall. Link to comment
fergi 0 Posted December 8, 2007 Wonderful capture here. I like the huge ice formations. The cold algae gives the dam a nice coloration, too. The ble-green contrasting colors, naturally occuring, give it a neat tone. I don't suppose much post-processing was done, as it doesn't appear to need any. Winter seems to be there in force. Oh, it is about 68 degrees here in Pensacola. Golf was almost too warm yesterday. Merry Christmas! fergi Link to comment
scooter0071 0 Posted December 8, 2007 Andrew, Thank you for your comments. Very little was done in post. And I would love to be there playing golf instead of shoveling snow. Yankton SD is very cold right now. Link to comment
