God Plays With Paints

So, Tim, it's a shame you're not having any fun with that new camera.

 

This is a treat. As many of these as we've all seen, I'm really struck by the obviously distinct layering in the atmosphere. Those purplish tones are amazingly well preserved, considering how NOT blown out even the brightest clouds are. Great exposure.

What makes this image really good is that you have such rich texture in the clouds. The colors and the feel only occur for abour 3-5 minutes per day. The D300 was the right tool. 6/6

OH, you have done great work with your new camera! This picture truly is like painting. Lovely refresh colors and composition, sky gets all space and glory.
