I think you did a good job with the lighting. I don't see any hotspots. All evenl lit, only shadows are behind the sofa, where they belong.

Good composition, very even light, well done!

Regards to the lighting/shadows. I don't understand that criticism -- "shadows are behind the couch, where they belong."

 

That's not the sort of statement to give to anybody, unless you want them to never progress.

 

I don't know what "look" this photograph's going for, but the basic idea is unbelievably similar to a famous shot by Andre Kertesz (sp?), except this hasn't been "warped" in the same way.

 

The lighting of this, I don't like. Regardless anything else you could say about the "idea", the composition is nicely set-up such that there could be a great "depth" dynamic to this. But the lighting destroys any of that !

Nice. I like everything about this but the carpet - it doesn't go with the other elements. I know that's kind of banal, but I have looked at this a couple of times and can't get over it..
