younes 0 Posted December 5, 2007 I lived in Montreal for more than eight years...yet I have never stepped in one its most fabulous places, that is until this past week-end. Your thoughts are appreciated. Link to comment
bernie moore 6 Posted December 5, 2007 Younes, You have been shooting less than a year?? Well, you're gotten off to quite a start. Your portfolio is striking, as is this pic. The colors and composition here are at once mysterious and compelling. I would go to church myself if I thought I could take such a photo. Regards, Bernie Link to comment
jennifer_carroll 0 Posted December 5, 2007 There is so much detail in this composition. The colours are beautiful and rich. love the exposure and angled shot. :) Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted December 6, 2007 I love the colour and the light here. Both are handled very, very well. This almost feels like a tapestry it is so rich in detail and in rich, old, colour. As for the composition, it is dynamic and full of energy. I, personally, would have liked some significant element to either be truly horizontal or truly vertical -- the composition is feeling quite free and spontaneous. I want it to feel purposeful. While I can understand a desire of some people to have a certain free feeling in their composition, I am always looking for a purposeful composition in my work and find it hard to truly appreciate a less regimented perspective. Just my own issues and my own response here -- I'm the sort of person who gets up and adjusts the pictures in my office so they are exactly level at least twice a week. Link to comment
