I am thinking your best from the river trip? Just amazing! Too beautiful water action, too wonderful convergence of the fall trip to the squeezed canyon and too much energy of the water coming out of this squeezed canyon perfectly depicted in your picture!

This is also not seen spot.

just lovely. I am thinking this and Coyote Bridge compete for the best. Coyote bridge has light and this one has action.

Do you have any more anticipated surprises? :-)

Looks like a rewarding trip Marc. The rock at the bottom in this shot seems the key to its success. The shape nicely emphasizes the sharp angles in the lower right part of the shot, adding lots of drama in contrast to the quieter upper left portion of the image. Placing it so it touches the frame seems to further heighten the drama. Nicely seen.

Marc,

You told me a while back in a post on FM about your "a beautiful day" shot that even if people don't critique your work you always critique your own work, so I am just curious on an image like this that to me looks technically perfect as well as a jaw dropping shot if there is anything that you could of hopped to be better (if thats possible), or did it just all come together here? Thanks

I know this probably sounds dumb, but I was at Zion last year and took almost this exact picture. I was standing a few feet to the right of where you were though. I didn't really understand how to control the dynamic range in a canyon at that point, but I've got to say seeing your incredible picture here makes me kind of proud that I picked out a good composition. As usual, great work!

Did you have a chat with the elves there?

Your work reminds me of Galen Rowell a lot.

You capture mountain light indeed.

Well done!!

Fantastic shot again! I wish you would enter your equipment and exposure information spec. for reference. Thanks.
