This is a very poignant photo! Congrats. I wish you and your family a very happy festive season and may the new year bring many more creations. Best regards, Dimitris.

... PJ had to point it out to me. Great shot, old and new, perfect vs. derelict. The chimney is like a challenge to the tower. Well composed, and I love the fruit trees in the foreground. Another fine shot, congratulations. PJ is an optimist ... she thinks the orchard will be there long after the house and the hotel are gone.

Very nice composition, and everything the others said. I am a little unhappy with the halo effect that is especially visible around the tree on the right side. I usually get it when overdoing the shadows/highlights adjustment in photoshop (especially with the highlights). Anyone else sees it?

This photograph is a beautiful juxtaposition of two world colliding. The modern architecture set against the strong anchored image of the fruit trees and the stone house creates uneasiness about the changing landscape that many of the cities, towns and villages are experiencing on a global scale. The striking blues and reflection in the Crowne building does not overpower the foreground, rather is shows scale and creates for us a gauge for  it’s size and the possibility for urbanization to occur  all over this area. The colour of the fruit a tree provides a beautiful contrast to the stone and forces my eye to look from the bottom to top. For me, it contributes to the scale of the buildings and the appearance that corporations are always lurking in the background, waiting to swoop in and redesign the skyline. This is a beautiful photo and I have thoroughly enjoyed looking through your portfolio. It's been my pleasure!
