georgesaguna 0 Posted November 30, 2007 I have no idea if you will like this, but i just want to dedicate this image to those very nive people who keep on rating me 3/3 with out leving a little constructive coment. I beg those people to still give me a 3/3 even on this photobut to at least tell me what puts them off so much. Personally i compare those people to want to be experts who cant honer you with their knoladge and expertese. I still thank the many others who do spare some time to put in a word, as simple as it might be but helpfull never the less. Mind you its these last people who made me join this site and its these people who made me come all this way. Thank you all and hope you do enjoy this one Cheers George Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted November 30, 2007 George...I've done the same thing more than once, dedicating a shot to the 3/3 idiots. it does no good...but i respect your effort. I've had hundreds of ratings given and only once has anyone ever given me a 3/3, or even a 4/4...with an accompanying comment. It's the mark of a coward...and it will continue as long as staff continues to give them the shelter of their anonymity. On a site where you would think that innovation and creativity would be rewarded...it is penalized by unknown "entities" who I believe simply have no understanding of art, period. I believe the vast number of these ratings are the result of thinking that "I don't like it..." is the criteria for giving low marks. Anyway... on to your photo! From where I sit...this is a wonderful photograph...one that I'd be delighted to have hanging on the walls of my home. For me... that is the ultimate compliment. You're an artist George...you KNOW that this is good work. I understand your anger...but don't lose sight of all the stories you know so well, of painters, writers, photographers who were mocked and told their work had no value...only to go on to become known as masters. Not that I am of any reputation...but for what it's worth, there are those of us who do see your accomplishment and want to recognize you for it. We need to be louder in speaking up about this matter. Only then will staff cease to ignore this issue and correct it instead of making lame excuses. best regards, john Link to comment
rubenwensing 0 Posted November 30, 2007 The numbers don`t mean so much, but the problem is they are used to organize searches, based on those numbers.. Its also possible to just rate pictures.. In that way u zap from pic to pic and stopping for a comment in that way is too much effort I guess, I don t like that system. Better is to look at the pictures and if something comes up u comment on it, maybe accompanied with a rating, Don t worry too much, u have very nice portfolio! Link to comment

amirali 1 Posted November 30, 2007 Magnificent point of view. the camera angle makes me think that its from the view of a person who has fallen on the ground and looking at the door miserably . Link to comment
georgesaguna 0 Posted November 30, 2007 I thank you all for your support and time. You are the people i really wanted to dedicate this work too cos you are the real artists. Any one can look at a photo and turn their back to it. When people stop and spend some time to see whats on that paper (screen), and see what is trying to be passed over to them. Its those people who leve their mark on my work. We all learn form each other whilst we are growing. The world has always been the same and the people on it are too afraid of change. Art is a way in which we can show our selves for what we really are and how we want to be seen, the mood we are in and the feelings we have. So i look towards you people who have given me your ides and toughts, and thank you George Link to comment
giotto 0 Posted November 30, 2007 The main feature about this shot is the fact that is has no story but the power and intensity of the shot makes it really likable and art worthy! it's impressive, strong and heavy, yet contrasted by the amount of aesthetic neatly packed in one shot! Bravo G. this is you best one! Link to comment
