what strikes me as so remarkable about this photograph is that it actually puts me at peace. when a picture can so strongly affect mood like that, I think one's really accomplished something.

Just beautiful. The colors really add to the photo. It makes me want to be on the Yulong. A little bit of wide angle distortion in the bottom, but otherwise nice framing.

I had to contemplate on that photo! It is very interesting photo because it opens a kind of new dimension to the viewer. The viewer can actually enter the picture and live the moment as those two people.

I have a feeling, when I'm looking at the photo, I can somehow reach that bamboo boat and rest for a while.

The photographer have presented a subjective camera in which lies the main motive at the foreground, the bamboo boat, the main focus. It leads the eye and the viewer through the scene. I give 7/7.

I free hand drew the spiral I saw in this image, then laid a Fibonacci grid on it and then cropped it square. Interesting... t

Lovely, yet disturbing image. At first, I was seduced by the golden light, and then realized that it must result from terrible pollution. Oh, my. The sweeping arc of the boat at the bottom was intriguing, but I suspect it is an artifact of lens focal length/proximity to camera, so on closer examination I liked it less.

Yulong river and sky did not have this pollution in 1984 when I visited. What a shame for the country and the world. What a subtle and seductive way to show it.

Elves have an interesting taste. Surreal would be a possible adjective for it. This picture is a nice mix of indulgent tourism with the purity of the chinese photographer who only posts those trained fisher cormoran birds on rivers.
