Winter came early to the Cascade Mountains in Washington state this year. I hiked up to the Enchantment Lakes area on October 5 to photograph the brilliantly golden mountain larch trees, but was met with 1-2 feet of snow.

You have captured some beautiful colors, and contrast between the colors! In my opinion, the stream in the front does make the photo to busy. I would suggest to crop it, just to the foot of the big rock. I think that will make the photo even more beautiful.

This is an exception shot considering there is no manipulation. Nice get. Snow is WHITE and clearly expertly exposed and white balanced. There are no really worth mentioning distractions but, and there are always buts, the cloud or cold mist in the blue sky may be considered unnecessary.

I wish we would get some snow down here in So. California. This is a great image! Can't think of a thing wrong with it.
