Nice action shot, Alexander. You could add more dynamism trying a diagonal horizon, a panning (could be difficult to achieve!) or shooting from a lower point of view.

It is indeed nice to have a background like that infinite-looking steppe, but it gives more "great spaces" than "flying" feel. Really this situation has many potential shootings, rather than a wrong/right approach.

 

Just note that, if you want to express motion, diagonal lines are preferred to horizontal and vertical ones. In a similar way, the bike-jumpers (I just don't know the right word for these people) use to rotate the front wheel to give a sense of dynamism.
