death valley 2007 Racetrack III

The movement of these rocks is still a hotly debated topic among

scientists but the general consensus is that water, ice and wind are

the culprits.

Great picture Leo, lovely textures and the way the rock is off to the side gives the viewer the concept of motion. Excellent work.

Leo, this is a terrific image! Superb composition and perfect exposure. I really like the post-processing you've done on this to emphasize the dramatic and dynamic nature of the rock and its trail. Well spotted, but i guess your target wasnt that fast. i guess i cant get any sleep next night cause i think how those rocks moved :) LOL Ps. seriously, great picture.

I was wondering how you got that track in the sand without leaving other traces -- then I read your caption... Talk about amazing foreground interest!

Congrats Leo on making the first page collection of work. It's a brilliant rendition!

One of the more interesting shots of the Racetrack. Nice composition and I think you nailed the lighting to bring out the textures. One thing though...I believe the General concenous is "Don't know why these rocks do what they do". Although many do subscribe to the wind and ice belief. Anyway, nicely done.

There are aliens underground who make this phenomenon occur!!

I actually got away with using TWO exclamation points!!!!!
