leo burkey 0 Posted November 26, 2007 The movement of these rocks is still a hotly debated topic among scientists but the general consensus is that water, ice and wind are the culprits. Link to comment
markst33 3 Posted November 26, 2007 Great picture Leo, lovely textures and the way the rock is off to the side gives the viewer the concept of motion. Excellent work. Link to comment
francoisspenard 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Thanks for the explanation; love the scene, it could be on any Mars type planet... Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Leo, this is a terrific image! Superb composition and perfect exposure. I really like the post-processing you've done on this to emphasize the dramatic and dynamic nature of the rock and its trail. Again, you've really captured the striking layered geology of the mountain behind and the misty quality of the light in the background! This is very, very good, my friend! I love it! Cheers! claude flener 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Wow, excellent picture! I was wondering how you got that track in the sand without leaving other traces -- then I read your caption... Talk about amazing foreground interest! The composition of this picture is as good as it could possibly be. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted June 16, 2008 This is so damned good, I'm gonna comment again! I honestly think that this is one of the best Racetrack photos I've ever seen. Really nice and contrasty. Superb work, and the vertical format is just perfect. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted August 28, 2008 Well Leo, beyond well done, all of what Chris said, I am heading out there in OCT with three other photographers for a private session with these rocks. This is truly inspiring and well presented. Thank you. Link to comment

Best of luck and I'll be looking forward to seeing your images. You won't go wrong inviting Chris. He's a wealth of information and knows the area very well. Good shooting. Link to comment

Ray House 4,526 Posted June 26, 2009 One of the more interesting shots of the Racetrack. Nice composition and I think you nailed the lighting to bring out the textures. One thing though...I believe the General concenous is "Don't know why these rocks do what they do". Although many do subscribe to the wind and ice belief. Anyway, nicely done. Link to comment
