Eeeek. Another gift from the cats, I see, though I liked the Mourning Dove better - perhaps because it seems somehow more surgical and detached. Still, Mister Bun here certainly gets a strong gut reaction from me, and that earns it extra points.

Someone beat me to the Korhank refrence, I see... If people can get past the shock, they'll see the beauty here. Beauty's not the right word, maybe, I don't think we have a word in our language for what I'm thinking of. But it demonstrates life, death, all at once. I am thankful that you didn't wait for the maggots to appear, however.

I think it works: as a formal composition of colours & textures it's quite attractive, but that creates quite a bit of tension with the "yuck" reflex. But come on guys, where do you think your food comes from? (me, I'm a vegetarian :-)

...and to think, I had almost removed you from my 'list'....composition is near perfect... purple is good , I keep trying it out in my head with other backgrounds and purple(surprise to me) wins...

I don't know why people overreact to images like this (and others in Leslie's portfolio). PN is filled with disgusting nudes hailed as art by users. This is not to say nudes have no place (I've seen many excellent nudes on PN), I just see too many where the point is simply to make the viewer drool over an attractive woman. I call that kind of image sick. This image, while not my favorite of Leslie's, is a glimpse of what most people would rather not see, and I don't find it the least bit sick (and I'm a vegan).

actually i made such fotos too..but animals lying on the road..beside it or whatever.

they get presented in a way that we are more used to.got me?

 

i think thats great...but i dont want to know if you actually cut its head of just for the picture..i hope you didnt kill this little rabbit just because of the shot..then itsokay with me! 6/6
