but i wish there was more food in the foreground plate. it seems that the eye is drawn to the place of abundance in the frame and in this image, it would be the red pot in the middle left. it should be the foreground plate.

I tend to think of LOMOgraphy as being the decicive moment of ordinary things.

 

Some key Idea's:

 

1) The ordinary has many possibilities.

 

2) Color is very much the subject.

 

3) Shoot don't think. If it's interesting capture it on film.

 

I imagine some people do shoot without using the viewfinder. Persoanlly that's a bit too random for me, esp, becuase the Epic's viewfinder works well vs that of a LOMO or Holga.

 

IMHO the stylus epic is very much suited for this style of photography, since it can generally be relied upon to get the focus/exposure right and its speed biased program tends to create nicely isolated subjects.
