gordonjb 10,860 Posted November 24, 2007 Great expression. She is clearly curious about ( the guy with the camera ? ) but not in a self conscious way like and adult would be. I love the intense honesty children can convey with the simplest of looks. You have captured this so well. I like the slightly back leaning angle as if she had to make adjustments to get the view she was after. The colour combination is lovely and the lighting is soft and warm. I also like the tight crop. Nice capture once again Joseph! Link to comment

toloduran 0 Posted November 25, 2007 Excelente retrato.La pequea modelo es una preciosidad,y la mirada que has captado es sensacional al igual que esas mejillas sonrosadas,no se si por estar jugando o por las divertidas pintadas.La luz y el fondo perfectamente desenfocado es estupendo. Saludos -Tolo. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted November 28, 2007 I prefer not to read the comments before making mine. To start with I really like this 'natural' portrait. I continue to praise you on excellent light and clarity in your images and this one is no exception. I like the composition and placement of the child in the photo. The background adds value to the photo - in fact, it's color compliments the red marks on her face. A small nit pik and it could be my monitor calibration: portions of her right hand seem to be or is bordering on being 'too light'. This is a personal and artistic consideration but I might have darkened that part just a tiny bit. A nit-pik indeed because I really like the image. Well captured and well done. Best regards, Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted November 29, 2007 Thanks so much for your generous comment. As to the hands... I've long had a monitor calibration problem myself, so I'm not even sure if you're right. You probably are, though. I'm getting some calibration gizmo to finally set things straight. Warm regards... Link to comment
