Tasman NP, Tasmania, AUSTRALIA

Here's a view you don't often see of the Tesselated Pavement. The sunrise colours suited this

view. I should point out that the 'pavement' is natural.

Canon 5D, 16-35mm 2.8L, 2 stop hard ND grad, ISO 100, f18, shutter 5 seconds.

Now Kah that is extraordinary!!

Once again you make sure to pay attention to the little details. For instance making sure there is just that little bit of clearance between the foreground and the distant shore.

Kat Kit,

Beautiful image, excellent patterns in the foreground along with the colors all over. I'm getting addicted to your photos. Keep up the good job.

I completely agree with everyone's comments, Kah Kit; this is really a gorgeous photograph. I really like how the cloud appears to 'roll' off of the mountain in the background. The sky is magnificent in every quadrant; and the tesselated pavement in the foreground is awesome. All of the elements and details come together perfectly. I love your work, my friend! A 7/7 anonymously. Cheers! Chris

A nice addition to your collection; the playful lines and an unusual palette combine for an image that holds the attention very well. I particularly like the S curve formed by the clouds and distant hill. My only reservation might be that I am somewhat distracted by the highlights on the far shore - at this scale I can't tell if they are rocks or houses - hopefully the former?

Wow! The sunrise colors in this are very striking. I love the juxtaposition of the soft but vibrant pastel clouds against the hard textured and more muted 'pavement'. There is a nice diagonal leading the eye across the pavement into the rising sun as well. Then the kicker is the intriguing algae that follows it's own compositional pattern and combined with it's distinguished green color gives the entire photograph a third dimension. Brilliant image. It also looks like there may be some other intiguing comps down low in those pavement lines if you had another chance to visit this place. Great work as usual! 7/7 when the system lets me!

I would call this one of your best shots! The composition is great but usually processing is difficult when you are faced with such a drama. I like how you managed to keep the could on the left hand side part of the frame and yet not overpower the shot completely.
