A fountain in front of the St. James by the Sea chapel in La Jolla, CA

The cloud cover was just the right thickness to allow the disc of the sun to show without

overexposing the picture. Unfortunately, I had ISO 3200 selected for my camera (I was

experimenting to see what the noise level would be) and I didn't think to change it back. The

graininess that results actually seems to add to the character of the photo, though.
