aepelbacher 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah, so I want to know what happened immediately AFTER you got this shot. :-) Tell me, was this a film or a PS conversion to B&W? I like the shot, the composition is great, and the fact that he's looking AT you ... WOW! (Take a look at a couple of the elephant photos in my "recent images" folder ... read the story I put with a set of them about when a younger bull charged our vehicle...) His ears are perfectly symmetrical and I love that he's coming out of the brush. The only nit pick would be that it's a bit low on contrasts. I'd love to see some more *real* black areas in the image ... too much gray. Regardless of the contrasts, I love the shot! Great work. Link to comment
alessandra_manzotti 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Thank you Lou Ann for the kind critique. This was a conversion using PS. it is my very first try at it, as I am new to the wonders of Photoshop. I am self taught, and have learned mostly by reading books (eg. John Shaw...ABSOLUTELY A GREAT INSTRUCTOR). I will try your suggestion. Thank you again. Cheers Alessandra Link to comment
