This is absolutly beautiful, I dont know what else to say. I love the contrast between the yellows and blues. Beautiful photo, congrats on the capture.

I must commend you on a landscape that is in a higher league than most.

Its interesting that I spent most of my life in Melbourne.

You clearly enjoy you travels.

One little thing that you will probably appreciate is the distortion on the horizon / end of water - the curvature. This is a typical wide angle. It got into some of my photos too. I found the only answer was the raw converter DxO, which corrects for optical shortcomings based on the DxO analyzer. I suggest you have a look, because with your striving for perfection, you will appreciate it. It will also fix the vignetting, which the Canon seems to do.

But, I really enjoy what you have and look forward to seeing more.

I'm aware of the distortion. When I feel it is necessary to correct through PS I do. It disturbs me a little here but the correction causes loss at the edges which I felt unbalanced the composition more than the distortion disturbed me. I have recently acquired a tilt-shift lens. Generally distortion in landscapes don't bother me, as they can give a greater sweep to the scene. However architecture shots are more of a problem and I bought the tilt shift to make sure things are straight in my pro work.

Looks like you've had fun at Abraham lake!

I thought Kootenay was the most spectacular of the parks (you can see my Floe Lake photos if you are interested).

This is a really lovely fall scene. I particularly like the blue hues so present at dawn. The distortion is not a distraction IMO.

BTW: were you at the Athabasca falls on Sept 12 early afternoon?
