I hope all view this in larger format to appreciate the setting. The combination of natural lite and a StarFlash 650 Mercury OctoDome was used to create this shot. I really liked the setting and combintaion of light. The expression of the subject was, imho, perfect for the mood of the image. Again, thanks for your kind observations.

This is great, love the lighting.the little lights show so well. can you tell me what settings were used? ;)

Richard, Terry and Ruud for your nice comments. Dana, I took several test shots before settling for this shot trying diffrent settings. There was a combination of natural light from a window behind the tree, overhead lighting and the starflash. My final recordings where as follows:

? Resolution: SHQ+RAW

? White Balance: 5600K (dialed in manually)

? ISO: 100

? Aperture: f/4.0

? Shutter Speed: 1/10th of a second

? Focus: Manual

I shot 84 residents for a nursing home to use as their personal Christmas cards to their familys. This has kept me tied up for awhile. Thanks for your comment and interest. Michael
