blago 0 Posted August 21, 2002 Usually I am very afraid of any kind of human body distortions, especially in the face. But here you managed to make the portrait more interesting. I am not able to explain why your experiment works :-) but that is not important. Regards. Blago Link to comment
scott bulger 0 Posted September 30, 2002 Not the standard self portrait. Excellent. Thinking outside the box. Your effort is appreciated. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 5, 2002 what you look like =) I've seen your sneakers, and now this photo - it's like a photo montage! heh heh - a very sad expression on your face, I must say Link to comment
manny 0 Posted January 15, 2003 A bit pensive photo of you... Is this the inside you? Your work is so full of life! Well, if you live in Brooklyn -- it has to be! I grew up around 64th and 5th, 68th, and then 74th and 5th... How is that neighborhood now? I would love to see more shots of the "real" Brooklyn... It was a wild place when I was a kid. Anyway, I think your photos show a little of your toughness... Your composition keeps things moving! Link to comment
mark_wearsch 0 Posted January 17, 2003 Laura - I like your work. This is usually the expression I get from someone I am taking pictures of when I tell them I just want to shoot a few more. Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted February 1, 2003 The honesty of this is almost frightening. Your entire "Playing with Light" portfolio is exceptional. You should be very proud of your work. Link to comment
manuel.rincon 0 Posted March 31, 2003 This picture also works because audience can see what is behind the model, and what is normally hidden from the author. The same in this case? It is a phychological portrait. It reminds me to Dali. More than a picture of physical reality, it is a picture of a deep inner world, of a dream. Like being "naked", but more. B&W fits perfectly and also composition is very innovative. Manuel. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Rather good shot, great pose. I think I might consider making it into a square as I bet it is quite strong that way. Well done. Link to comment
iason_faennos 0 Posted April 6, 2003 You seem daring, unpredictable, creative, and taking into account your age that's great. I wish you keep your eyes fresh. We all have a lot to learn. There are things in your photos i do not understand (or i disagree like in this here) but that's OK, art goes beyond ideas. Really thanks for sharing your photos, and i'd like to see your work in the future. Link to comment
jar 0 Posted May 23, 2003 This is a difficult angle to shoot from, but somehow this compositon of a triangle works really well. This images seems to hold a lot of emotion just ready to be released. Link to comment
