Ah, Jeff, I believe that Claude M. would be complimented and impressed. A fine and lovely image that reveals how seriously you've studied the styles of the various Impressionists. Excellent! Regards...

Really nice capture. The look of water is something i havent yet seen. Great colours also. The bright are on the lower right corner could look less brighter to prevent eyes focusing it all the time.

Best regards Tero.

Jeff, very nice dialogue with "uncle Claud"....it really looks painting like and reminds his well known work, But has as well Jeff in it...

Very nice abstract Jeff, beautiful form, colors palette, and light, all well dispersed on the frame.

Reflections, especially light bouncing on water provides us with some of the most mesmerizing subjects for artistic inspiration. You have succeeded in creating an enthralling composition that catches our direct attention. The colors are intriguing and on the right hand side I see a patch that faintly resembles the bust of a man looking up.

I think Roger has nailed it. It clearly has a realtionship to impressionism and is an appropriate homage, but I think it is more current, more today than yesterday. I feel great movement and a keen sense of layering and depth. I find there to be a unique and vibrant, almost neon, quality to the colors. That quality seems present in your last few photos and I think you've found an energy there to explore. So, I don't find this placid, as I do much of Monet's work. As a matter of fact, for me, there's more stimulation than rest. The shapes and squiggles, reflecting and outlining each other are a wonderful treat for the eyes. There is dance here.

Thanks for great comments. Time has been limited, so I apologize for the delay in expressing appreciation.

Linda: Indeed! (thanks)

Nataliya: Refreshing. A great word.

Jeanne: Appreciated!

Joseph: Thanks. I thought I'd add my rendition of the oft-copied Mr. Monet to the mix.

Jack: Painterly sublimation. Sounds Freudian.

Tero: Thanks. I took out the bright patch and then put it back because I thought the photo needed something extra, even if it's a little annoying. Thanks for your advice.

Nick: Thanks.

A.K.: Your high praise is undeserved by me, but humbly accepted.

Pnina: I'm glad Jeff didn't get lost along the way. He's not the best swimmer, you know.

Alberto: Thanks. I thought I'd try something different.

Alex: I'm coming to terms with approaching winter. This is my off-beat rendition of autumn.

Michael: Thanks. I liked the dancing light. I appreciate you stopping by.

Artur: Given your penchant for B&W, I appreciate you commenting on this neon photo.

Cherlyn: I love your description, so beautifully stated.

Roger: Perhaps there is a touch of Warhol here in the color scheme.

Adela: Thanks. This is about as close to painting as I get these days.

Adan: Great description. I'm glad you found the humanness.

PhoS: Hi. Thanks. I gotta check out your new stuff.

Fred: I'm trying some different approaches to color. I like your description of this as energized and neon. Appreciated!

You must have taken this picture from the window while on my Pschydelic Bus Tour. The highlights are perfect and look like sunlight shimmering off the water, very beautiful. As for Monet, I'm not familiar with all of his works but this seems to be much more abstract than his familiar works. Monet even in his more abstract stuff seemed to try to include something that was recognizeable and definite. This is certainly more modern and jazzy. Although the bright squigglies and brightness to the right seem out of place (not the dark lines). The rose/pinkish tones seem to be underneath the green and compliment very well.
