A tad low on contrast, but easily sorted with curves/levels in PS.

 

This is a lovely capture which cold really pop with a little post production work.

 

I know it's hard to get an "original" baby photo as so many are already out there, and as for aesthetics as it stands, it's nice, but I'm not feeling anything.

It is a lovely capture! Reece is definitely a star! The photo would be a straight 7/7 with a slight boost in contrast.

I think you did a good job with the composition and pose. This is very dark though. I went into photoshop and used curves and boosted the contrast.

I do like your version. It does pop more than mine, however right side of the image does seems to lack detail. However that my be my PC screen it is very cheap!

So peaceful and tender...magnificent baby portrait! The image is so sharp, vivid and "alive" that when I see it I feel that any moment I will hear baby talking!!!

P.S.: By the way I think that your slightly underexposed image is by far more compelling than the one that another member changed and uploaded.
