tonycussen 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Hi Kyle. This is an excellent shot,Great pose and good framing.Maybe the shadow is a little harsh for me ,perhaps the use of a white or silver reflector but then you may not have had this to hand.Great effort Regards Tony Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Welcome to PN Kyle. I like the candid pose and her playfulness. But I agree with the previous comment that the dark side of her face is a bit too harsh. Also the skin complexion is also a bit sharp and may need a bit of touching up and smoothing out. I took the liberty of working a bit on it in PS (see attached). Nicely done. kylebennett 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Thank you, I have now adjusted the image with your opinions in mind, and I do agree it looks a lot better; I have reduced the dark shadow on the left and got rid of some facial blemishes Micheal, thanks for your image and feedback, but I do not like the softening of the skin, in my opinion it looks very "ghostly" on your image This shot was actually taken outdoors in a smoking shelter at college, after christmas we'll be able to setup the studio lights and backdrop and hopefully my work will show a little more advancement. Thanks again, Kyle Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted November 13, 2007 I agree it's not for every one, but i wanted to illustrate something. If the effect is too strong, you can always adjust the blurring, or better the opacity of the layer once you've made the adjustments so that some of the original skin will shows through for a more realistic look. Anyway, i think your modifications work well and your photo looks much better. Final point (just to be picky) I would consider fixing up the nail polish on her finger.
