8 Beaufort Windsurfer

The last one of the Windsurfer storm serie: one of them really

jumped the Waves. Let me know your thoughts?

Um... cant really say anything that you wouldnt really know, but perhaps this will be helpful for some passerby's...

 

 

I like the layers in the waves with the foam on top being iluminated by the backlit light. Nice job handling that exposure, btw. The golden sun almost seems other worldly. The composition with the jumping surfer appearing to be above some pretty big waves gives this photo a nice shot of action and its placement in the picture is perfect to my eye. The blown highlights to the top and left are bit detracting, but can be forgiven. Infact, it helps with making the windsurfer pop out a bit better, as he would have been swallowed up by the shadows in the waves.

 

btw, kudos for such a clear shot in what i assume was taken in a pretty good blow. Holding a long lens steady in breeze is nothing less than hard.

Man that looks rough out there, really choppy. This is a great shot, almost looks like the guy has a death wish. Great airborne still, maybe you could sell this one.
