The gesture and the moment that you have captured are wonderful. However, the image is rather soft. I would imagine that you took this image hurriedly, to capture a fleeting moment... that would help explain the focus being a little off. While there may not be much you can do about the softness, I do think this image can be helped somewhat with some Photoshop work. Perhaps some vignetting, darken the midtones & highlights a bit, perhaps add some texture overlays to offset the lack of sharpness. The child's gesture is priceless and beautiful. -Michael

...Michael, however despite the fact that I used a manual focus 500mm Mirror, handheld, in a moving subject I do like the result...The "fuzzed", "circled" background created by the lens properties added, in my opinion, a mistic mood to the photo itself! And I don't use photoshop in order to keep things as natural as possible. Thanks anyway.
