The lens is fine at this size. (Boy that's got to be an old one.)

As for the image. Very nice portrait, lovely model.

You have just enough separation between her hair and the background that I can distinguish the two if I look at my LCD at the right angle. Not sure how this would show up in a print. Also could use a bit more tonal separation in her skin. Perhaps you can pull out more in a scan of the neg. Maybe someone else here can comment on the processing. I am sure that a different developer could give you more mid-tone contrast. (Sorry it's been a while for me.)

Cheers,

Bill

Thanks Bill.

I actually used an orange filter on the lens for this shot. So the light skin tones were expected. This was a tricky one for me to process after scanning. I've got the very light skin and also the dark hair and background. This was the interpretation of the scan I was most happy with. I also made some 8x10 wet darkroom prints today. Although they're pretty much the same in contrast, the tonal transitions are much more distinct.

And oh yeah the spiratone is an old one. Beautiful design and build quality if you ask me. The guys at the local camera shop are really interested to see what its 18 aperture blades can do. I'll probably drop a print off there tomorrow.
