davidspeight 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Dan, this is superb. I don't think the lighting, colours composition could be better. Outstanding. It must look great in mono as well with all those different tones. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Thank you for your comments David. It is funny. I often prefer B&W images, but this one didn't work out as well as I hoped it would. I preferred the color version. Link to comment

ursula 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Beautiful SouthWest image, it's so good to look at this when it's all cold and snowy outside now. Beautiful composition, very clear throughout. Link to comment
c. wesley hardwick 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Dan, I like the colors, but I would like to see less contrast (especially since you used the 5D). The shadows should hold a litle more detail instead of being so dark (almost black). Sorry, but it just screams DIGITAL as it is.... Just my 2-cents worth, -Tex Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Tex (Charles), thank you for your comment. I do agree with what you said, except this was, in fact, the look I was going for. The strong contrast, to my eye, brings a emotional harshness. Now, you could be correct that reducing the contrast would make it more aesthetically pleasing. I played with it, but this version had the emotion that I was looking for. As always, I am probably wrong, and I very much appreciate your comment. It is nice to have a dialog about these things. Thanks again. Dan Link to comment
