sphelfer 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Ian, I concur...excellent composition and use of color (or lack thereof)...just enough mist to make it seem surreal...hope to see more... Stewart Link to comment
human images 4 Posted January 15, 2010 a lovely blue dream... in a CinemaScope picture as "In the Distant Misty Hills" - a poem title for a poem photograph - one longs for scale and not a postcard (but of course that is true of many of your landscapes). I've spent the better part of an hour looking at your impressive work Ian. The absence of people is striking. Loved the shot of your old man however - you are him - he is you. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Thanks Carlos for your comments here and for looking through some of the deeper recesses of my portfolio. I don't know why, but I find the thought of photographing people to be deeply uninteresting. Strangely, I sometimes enjoy the photographs of others who photograph people. However, I have no interest in doing it myself. In a similar manner, I am thrilled by some bird photography (say that of Miguel Lasa), but, I have no desire to acquire massive lenses and sit in a blind all day/week/month to catch birds in their environments. I actually have more of an interest in photographing people. Anyways, thanks again for the comments and the interest. Link to comment
human images 4 Posted February 2, 2010 as time moves on you may end up loving portraiture as you shift how you see the world - you're still a young man, my man. Link to comment
