katherineerickson 0 Posted October 25, 2007 This image is so clear, it almost looks three dimensional. Very nice shot! Congrats! Katherine Link to comment
bfocused 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Fantastic! Bravo! The blue is so wonderful. I really like this photo. Must be what the author had in mind when the line "Purple mountains majasty" was penned. Great job! Link to comment
morganscribe 0 Posted October 25, 2007 I've fished (and camped) that lake over 20 times. Based on the sun angle I would guess late October. Beautiful picture. Take me about 2 houra to pack. Link to comment
ge_ma 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Estupenda composicion dando continuidad a la sombra con el reflejo formando ese camino sinuoso. Muy bonita. Link to comment
bekster 0 Posted October 25, 2007 Thanks folks! This wide perspective was created with three vertical overlapping images stitched together. I took five images for the panorama each at various exposures. The two rightmost pieces were not of much interest so not included in this composite. I used the shadow/highlight tool in photoshop to even out a high contrast image. The fishing here at convict lake is supposed to be about the best you can get and the deer at the campgrounds are very friendly. Thanks for the kind remarks on this... Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,611 Posted October 28, 2007 It was the symetry that drew me in. The reflection & shadow makes the lake look like a stream. This is pretty neat. Link to comment
