alecee 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Hand held on waist level without aiming as they don't like to be photographed. Can't speak their language to communicate so took the easy way out. Turned out quite well. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 23, 2007 From her eyes you can know she was watching me like a hawk. Still I manage to get that special moment. Link to comment

jmoody 0 Posted October 26, 2007 Gorgeous shot and doubly impressive knowing it was from the hip! Really a shame she couldn't have been looking more into the lens, but that's just wanting your cake and to eat it too :-) Did some street attempts in our local chinatown and found that several of this "generation" would purposely close their eyes if they noticed a posible shot coming their way (don't know if it was just to screw up the shot, or something with deeper cultural relevance). ANyway, long story short, this is just great (especially the color coordinated gloves and hat!) Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 26, 2007 Thanks guys, Jeff I tried it several times before during my travels and found the best way is to have average focus metering targetted in the middle of the frame. Just shoot as many as possible and some will turn out fine. After all, the 'film' is free. ^_^ Link to comment
andrewcampbell 1 Posted October 26, 2007 Very nice composition and color. As for her expression, it's very natural--her personality shining through. Despite the stare, I think she has a warm personality. Best regards. Link to comment
