raman1 0 Posted October 24, 2007 HI: Your photograph is very beautiful from an aesthetic standpoint. My first impression was "Wow- I wish I could make a photograph like that". However, on closer examination, IMHO I think the moon is over-exposed and blown out. This leads to some loss of shadow detail towards the periphery of the image. Had I to shoot this image differently, I would use either a smaller aperture or a shorter exposure time, or both, depending on your creative vision. Also, I'm not sure if the copper/red tint is a post-processing/ Photoshop effect or if it is related to a longer exposure and "reciprocity failure" (I'm a slide afficionado, so I don't know the equivalent "digital" term) Nonetheless, a beautiful and evocative image Cheers, Sanjeev Raman Link to comment
amruth 0 Posted November 18, 2007 Hello Sanjeev, First of all, sorry for the delay in response. Thank you very much for taking your time and looking and providing feedback. Yeah, even i think the moon is slightly overexposed, but to get the clouds exposed i had keep it on a longer exposure. And the colors on the clouds are natural and not done in Photoshop.
