antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Great great shot Sheila, one of my favorites this week. It takes me back in time and reminds me of the good old photography style (when digital and computers didn't exist yet). It's kind of long though, you cropped a lot. At this point I would cut another cm from the bottom to get rid of that weird half-circle thing in the lower right corner and shorten up the image for more balance. I don't know if you like it, here it is: Link to comment

sheila 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Thanks all. This shot won the "People" category in the Black and White Spider Awards 2005 "Outstanding Achievement". Its certainly one of my most favourite images and it was actually shot "off the hip" as the group of schoolgirls in their delightful hats crossed the road in front of me. As luck would have it, there was a ramp up to some shops and I raced up and took the shot. (Canon 70-200 f/4 L at f/5.8). Link to comment

hangthemoon 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Sheila, one of the best shots i have seen on this website. i am a fan of older photography and i agree with some earlier comments that this harkens back to the classics. simply stunning. the image is great like it is and i do not normally comment in any critical way on such wonderful pictures. in this case i agree with the small crop at the bottom. it takes the image from a 5 out of six to a 6 out of 6. you must be very happy with this shot. i look forward to having a look at the rest of your portfolio.
