In the middle of your exhibition and you still find time to post a new image. You're really quite mad, Pnina. A beautiful and dramatic photograph.

Pnina, As always, a pleasure to view your works, recent or not. This one is no exception. We've become accustomed to your spot-on exposures, sharpness, and super compositions, seldom, if ever, being disappointed. You continue to post & I'll continue viewing. Works for me! :-) Best, LM.

Beautiful image. A very graceful sense of repose in the dancers position. The sensitive way you have handled the light is astonishing and very effective. I can clearly see the several layers of the stage leading down from the first platform yet they are only barely there, leaving me with a sense that the dancer is floating. The skin tones are warm and inviting which is a bit of a surprise to me with such strong stage lighting. On my monitor I can make out a small outline of something just down from the top of the frame over towards the right top of the photo. It is a bit of a distraction since I cannot identify it and would rather be thinking about the beautiful figure than wondering what that little line is from.

I am trying to imagine hearing "The Carnival of the Animals " while looking at this photo, that piece is a favourite for me. I can also hear Erik Satie's piano works when I look at this image. It does seem a bit whimsical as if she is about to rise up fast and become very animated.

Jack, my exhibition will be opened in this week-end. everything is ready...

Len, glad to see you and more so the fact that I did not disappoint you ;-))

Gordon, that image is one of the photos in the exhibition and printed, I could not see on my monitor the distraction you saw, please show me where do you see it in yours. The second part of the "Swan sentence" is the one I will upload for you, and other visitors, here.

Avner, Long time, Glad to see you.

Andrea, you too, looks you are very busy....

Thanks for the second image yes she does begin to unfurl like a swan taking to the air. The small line I see is in the attached image circled in white, it also extends up from this point slightly. I can imagine it to be something on stage that the light is catching. It is a very small issue but I have always been thankful when you very keen eye points out such things to me so I thought I would mention it.

It is gone now :) It was such a small little catch light that I did not even know if it was worthy of mention. But I could see it so.....

One of the strengths of this image is your decision about the placement of the dancer within the frame. I like that you have left all that black space on the right and placed the dancer off centre to the left. This is I believe the reason that little spot jumped out at me.

Very nice job. Alway love your composition and the capture of the moment.

Lighting is good too. If I can do this on stage, I won't need a studio. :D

Warm regards,

Ray

(P.S., I have been active on model sites lately).
