sherle 0 Posted October 20, 2007 This version still doesn't have good blacks or whites. If you look in Photoshop with the pointer tool and just hover it over your black areas while looking at the "info" tab you will see that your blacks are not true black yet, not at 95-100%, nor are your whites at 0-10%. A levels adjustment first, will help, bring your sliders to the edge of the "mountain" for both the black and the whites. Then take it into a Curves adjustment if things still aren't right. I took this image into Photoshop, hope you don't mind, and did a levels adjustment and it helped quite a bit. However it still wasn't quite right, so I did a curves adjustment and that popped the blacks and the whites. Then, I did a tiny bit of a burn on the bright areas to tone them down a little. Your focus and composition are good, now its time to make it pop with the black and white........ Sherle Link to comment
