dseltzer 0 Posted October 17, 2007 What a wonderful photographic turn, to show what is there via the absence of light! I love this image. Regards, David Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 17, 2007 Thanks to all of you, sorry that I do it collectively, but I'm very busy with preparation for my coming two rxhibitons, But I apprecite your taking the time. as I wrote before, it is my photo, but your stories.... Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 17, 2007 Thanks for your comment, but It is not a turn in my work, as I "follow the light" ( and of course the shadows)in all my artistic work...( if you will take some time to observe it, you will notice. ) I was glad to read your comment. Please don't hesitate to write your thoughts in the CG. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted October 17, 2007 "...And what dialogue it is..!" Great capture, nothing to add, the image says it all. Marco Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Pnina, I didn't intend to mean a turn in your work, which I continue to study, rather a turn from what I guess I (narrowly) expect to see in photos. I might also have been trying too hard to say something clever. So, now, you see, you've expanded my awareness even more. Thank you. David Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 18, 2007 Marco, Thanks for your visit and comment!! always appreciated. David, just glad to see you here, we learn each other now in the CG. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Pnina, as everyone has already stated, this definitely tells a story...or several stories :) I see the lower figure as pleading her case and awaiting the final decision of the other. No matter the story, the image is intriguing and I'm not at all surprised that you caught it! :) Link to comment
rachelfoster 0 Posted February 15, 2008 Ha! I've also been exploring shadow. Lines, angles, contrasts, all important and helpful for study. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks ,yes I "follow the light" I think in all my work. This was a "pure" result of the light.... Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks for commenting my photo. I'm glad I followed you to rediscover this fascinating shadow play in your very extensive portfolio. Quite a long time I saw this for the first time. I do appreciate the inclusion of proof of ground work going on. Nice to imagine what's happening and how is their position to each other outside the frame. I also like the vertical shadow on left, like a ornament, while to shadow on top right corner has it's value here too. Very well seen and framed. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted October 24, 2009 The timing is so great for the shadows to gives us a perfectly clear and readable expession of the people's dialogue.... Link to comment
