I'm sorry, but I think this photo is the pits. Poor focus, terrible ltg. Try again.

Do you think maybe that was intentional? Not all pictures of animals have to be boring.

A photograph consists not just of the visible image, but also of the implied image. A talented photographer will use the implication and social context to add emotional impact to a photo. This photo builds on the familiarity we all have with cats, and depends on the emotional resonance to add value to the image. A person who either does not know cats, or who dislikes them will not see the "complete" photograph.
