I've always found beach shots difficult due to the brightness of the

sun sometimes distorts the photo.. this one worked well,, what do u

think????

I first saw these honeyed cliffs in a postcard sent by a traveling friend while I still lived in New Zealand. I thought they were breath taking and vowed to visit them when I made it to Europe. I have walked these cliff-tops several times now over the past 10 years and think you've captured the wonderful colours of the water, sand and cliffs very well. Think the challenge with this shot is not so much the sunshine, but the fact the shaded area with loss of detail dominates the centre and draws the eye...difficult to counter though as you say with the bright sunshine contrast. Your shot definitely makes me want to be back on those beaches though!

Lovely mixture of colours and tones here Nick. From the first look I found it very striking and the best shot of the Portugal trip. Maybe take a little crop off the sky..it could be just it a tighter composition, though I love the shot as it is anyway! Good one mate!
