anders hald 0 Posted October 10, 2007 What a stunning portrait. I love the quality of the light from the chandelier and the amazing green walls. Great work. I am not so sure about the black border, it ads a sense of mourning and melodrama that I don't think is necessary. The picture is very strong on it's own. Best regards, Anders Link to comment

dave_holland 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Boy, does this image grow on you. On the surface a plain photograph. But, like all great editorial photos, this one evokes a thought. A thought about the loneliness, the shrinking feel of aging. Great how his shoes don't reach the floor. Simple, tungsten lighting. I like the quiet dignity here, with the simple frugality of the elderly. A man displaced from his better years. Reminds me of my grandfather. Also, I have to confess, I find the thought a little frightening.... Dave Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 17, 2007 ..this image is so touching. It`s very simple but still amazingly strong. It has a deep meaning, a message. I don`t know how to describe it. I just love it. Link to comment
davemoss 0 Posted October 17, 2007 very powerful and evocative, but i personally would like to see more light on his face. not much. just a little. maybe a reflector to the right of the table lamp would have done it. otherwise it is fantastic, and my point is personal, not meant to detract from the overall image.
