radu bucur 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Wonderful composition. The light falling on just the right spots (basket and kid's face)is a great bonus to the "interesting factor" of this photo. Congratulations! Link to comment
mookx 0 Posted October 10, 2007 ... eat your heart out! What a story/picture. It's an icon for a boy's journey through life ... and you know somehow he'll eventually slam-dunk that ball right through that hoop. 7/7 Link to comment

mahdi_shadkar 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Hi. I was really impressed! Excellent situation. The bare wall, emphasize the situation. I like the colors, so simple and bare, so, no need of B&W or Sepia. Bonne Chance. Link to comment
photodonn 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Outstanding composition. The mottled lighting works great, with both the child and the hoop highlighted. Great work!!! Link to comment

marjan 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Wonderful image. Perhaps a little bit overexposed on boys face, but still marvelous. Link to comment
evphotography 0 Posted December 16, 2008 I am not usually one for these types of images being a landscape photographer, but this a great shot. I do love images that tell a story and this one sings out loud. Love the lighting, simple composition with boy and basket on opposite corners gives it great balance and applied vertical lines. Well done Viesturs! Link to comment
Funtak 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Very good idea, love the contrast wall/cement, love the sheadow of the basket, very atractive composition, light, vivid colours. Best regards, vf Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 28, 2009 I think the post-processing has brought the kid out too brightly and made it look artificial. Apart from that it's very good. Link to comment
