What would you do differently with this image?

Ray: The bloom is wonderful. The background is too close in value and too textured to allow total concentration on the bloom. On the other hand, the bloom is totally in focus as a result of the greater depth of field that causes the background to be so evident.

I like the way the flower is completely in focus, from the foremost petal to the ones in the rear. Difficult to control the background on waterlilly shots because of stuff in the water. Still, its a nice shot.
